The Commission on Aging and Retirement Education, as created by Ordinance 65-1595, as amended by Ordinances 73-261, 74-513, and 99-526, and codified at City Code 1966, art. 1, § 33; 1976/83, art. 1, § 36; and 2000, art. 1, Subtitle 14 was repealed in its entirety by Ordinance 23-264, effective October 27, 2023.

Section 3 of Ordinance 23-264 states that “the City Council intents that the Commission on Aging, Resources, and Empowerment is the successor entity of the Baltimore City Commission on the Aging and Retirement Education and that all current members of the Baltimore City Commission on the Aging and Retirement Education are retained and shall continue to serve as members of the Commission on Aging, Resources, and Empowerment.”
