By operation of law, Subtitle 18 automatically expired on December 31, 2022.

An expired law reaches the end of its designated lifespan or fulfillment of its purpose as defined in the original law itself. Expiration occurs automatically, without any need for explicit revocation by a new law. Comparatively, a repealed law is one that has been formally canceled or revoked by a subsequent law passed by the legislative body that created it.
