§ 17-3. Exceptions.

The prohibitions of this subtitle do not apply to:

(1) any municipal, emergency, police, fire, ambulance, or other governmental vehicle when it is operated in its official capacity;

(2) any licensed public transportation vehicle; or

(3) any vehicle when it is operated for business or commercial purposes.
