§ 53-3. Additional duties of Department of Recreation and Parks.

It is the duty of the Department of Recreation and Parks:

(1) to encourage the preservation, culture, and planting of shade and ornamental trees in the City's parks and streets;

(2) to prune, spray, cultivate, and otherwise maintain these trees;

(3) to trim or direct the time and method of trimming these trees; and

(4) to take all other measures that it considers necessary and reasonable for the control and extermination of insects and other pests and plant diseases that may injuriously affect trees in the City's parks and streets.
